Mesa Studio
A fictional architecture practice working from Barcelona. We study stone, light, and the grain of a place before we draw a single line.
Every project on this site is an unbuilt concept study.

Introduction
A small studio for slow buildings.
Mesa Studio is a fictional practice working from Barcelona. It draws houses, small public rooms, and places to work, and it draws them slowly: plans first, then sections, then the material itself.
The four studies below are not buildings. They are arguments about light, stone, and time, worked out on paper so each one could be built one day, somewhere, by someone who finds it useful.
Nothing here was built, commissioned, or awarded. The projects exist as drawings and words, which is enough for this journal to do its work.

About
About the practice
Mesa Studio is a fictional practice. It exists as a set of drawings and words, not as an office with a door. The name comes from the drawing board: the mesa is the flat stone where a plan is laid out.
The method is deliberately slow. A study begins with the site, then the section, then the material: limestone for heat, timber for shade, brick for walls that want to be read.
This journal keeps the practice honest. If a project cannot be drawn in a single section, it is not finished.
